Ugreen, known for its phone power banks, chargers, and NAS storage solutions, is expanding into the smart home market. At the IFA tech show, the company introduced its HomeAgent platform, which integrates security camera storage, on-device AI, and smart home control through a voice assistant named Uliya. The system runs locally, ensuring data privacy and eliminating recurring subscription fees.
The HomeAgent platform features three hub configurations: the MasterAgent MA100, HomeAgent HA100, and HomeAgent HA100 Pro. The MasterAgent MA100, powered by an Nvidia Jetson Thor T5000 platform, offers up to 2,070 TFLOPS of AI performance and stores all data locally. It supports advanced features like cross-camera tracking, smart alerts for people, vehicles, pets, and packages, and live status queries such as ‘where is my pet now?’. The system also includes AI-powered video search and text descriptions of events, along with natural language voice control for smart home devices and automations.
The HA100 and HA100 Pro hubs handle simpler, rule-based automation and semantic understanding, respectively. All hubs store camera footage locally, avoiding cloud dependency. Ugreen also launched a smart speaker running Uliya, along with security cameras like the SynCare Indoor Cam ID500 Pro and SynCare Cam OD800 Pro. The system supports Matter-compatible devices, including lights, switches, sensors, and curtains, with a growing list of compatible third-party products.
The HomeAgent hub includes an SD card slot, an interactive screen, and volume buttons for hands-on control. While internet access is needed for push notifications and remote viewing, Uliya’s voice assistant can also operate locally. The system aims to integrate seamlessly with existing smart home setups, offering a compelling alternative to cloud-based solutions like Amazon Ring and Google Nest. Ugreen plans to launch the product on Kickstarter in October with discounted early-bird pricing.
